The work of Kysa Johnson explores patterns that exist at levels which are generally outside of our visual spectrum, yet nevertheless are fundamental elements of our physical reality. Those components that exist at the macro and the micro are especially interesting to Johnson because of their perceived distances and ‘otherness’ to our daily lives, in spite of our constant relationship to and dependence on them. She hopes in her work to allow the viewer a moment of insight into the elegant infrastructure and inner architecture that surrounds them.
